What happened

During the final approach phase of flight to Golgubip Airstrip, a twin engine airplane experienced a sudden loss of stability. As the aircraft was on short final, it entered a left bank that caused the left wing to make contact with the ground. This impact led to a crash approximately 100 metres before reaching the runway threshold.
