What happened
A twin-engine aircraft was operating a scheduled flight from Manila to Zamboanga, which included a planned stopover at Mactan in Cebu. During the initial leg of the journey, the aircraft encountered severe weather conditions characterized by storms and low visibility. While the flight was maintaining an altitude of 5,000 feet, the plane collided with the slope of Mt Guiting-Guiting, situated in the middle of Sibuyan Island. The impact resulted in the deaths of all 10 occupants on board.
