A fatal aviation accident occurred in the vicinity of Cotabato City Airport involving a twin-engine aircraft. The incident took place immediately following the departure phase, specifically while the aircraft was in its initial climb shortly after takeoff.
Accident Sequence and Impact
During the ascent, the aircraft experienced a loss of altitude and subsequently crashed into a residential area located near the airport perimeter. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. Tragically, all eight individuals on board perished in the crash.
