What happened
During a flight originating in Tortuguero and destined for San José, an aircraft encountered a loss of control while navigating the airspace. The flight path led the plane into a heavily forested region characterized by triple canopy jungle located in the vicinity of Guapiles.
Upon impact with the terrain, the aircraft was completely destroyed. Despite the severity of the crash, all seven people on board were successfully pulled from the wreckage. There were zero fatalities reported following the incident.
Findings
Initial reports indicate that the pilot was unable to maintain control of the aircraft prior to the collision with the jungle canopy.
