During an attempted takeoff from runway 13/31, the crew of a twin-engine aircraft increased engine thrust to begin the departure sequence. Moments before the aircraft reached rotation speed, it struck a Cessna 404 operated by Yung Shing Airlines. The collision occurred because the Cessna 404, registered B-12204, had entered the runway without receiving proper clearance.

Following the impact, both aircraft stopped on the runway surface. While there were no fatalities reported, the accident resulted in 16 injuries across the occupants of both planes.
