What happened
A twin-engine aircraft, operating on behalf of the United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (MINUSTAH), was engaged in a border patrol mission when it crashed. The flight originated from Port-au-Prince-Toussaint Louverture Airport. During the mission, the aircraft impacted the slope of a mountain situated approximately 20 km west of Fonds-Verrettes.
The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were 11 fatalities recorded, involving all individuals on board, which included two pilots and nine passengers. Among the deceased were soldiers from Uruguay and Jordan.
