What happened
A flight departing from Jigjiga Airport was traveling toward Dire Dawa to conduct a humanitarian mission. The aircraft was operated with a crew of two pilots and was also carrying two staff members from the World Food Program. During the flight, the crew encountered an unforeseen complication that necessitated an immediate emergency landing.
Following the emergency descent, the single-engine aircraft impacted the ground and settled in a near-vertical position on its nose. The force of the landing caused the right wing to partially detach from the fuselage. Despite the significant impact, all four occupants managed to exit the wreckage. There were no fatalities reported, as all individuals sustained only minor injuries.
