What happened
On the evening of September 13, 1995, a Cessna 402B operated by Bimini Air Charter Inc. was involved in a fatal accident near Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. The aircraft, registered as N69303, departed from Bimini, Bahamas, at approximately 19:35 EDT for a scheduled international passenger flight under 14 CFR Part 129 regulations. The flight was intended to terminate at Mores Cay.
During the flight, the aircraft encountered difficulties locating the intended destination. According to accounts from those on board, the pilot was unable to identify Mores Cay, prompting a diversion toward Marsh Harbour. At the time of the accident, weather conditions were within visual meteorological limits, and no flight plan had been submitted for the journey. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft.
