What happened
On the morning of the accident, a twin engine aircraft departed from Orán Airport at 08:45 local time, operating as an executive flight bound for Salta. The flight was occupied by two pilots and two passengers.
During the flight, the crew operated under Visual Flight Rules (VFR). At 09:10 local time, the pilot communicated his position over Moxat, noting an altitude of 8,000 feet. Approximately thirteen minutes later, the pilot notified Air Traffic Control that the aircraft was located 15 nautical miles northeast of Salta Airport and was directed to establish contact with the Salta Tower.
Shortly after this communication, the aircraft collided with the slope of a mountain at Finca el Desmonde, situated in the vicinity of Mojotoro. The impact caused the aircraft to disintegrate. There were four fatalities recorded, as all occupants perished in the crash.
