What happened
During a nighttime approach to Frankfurt-Main Airport, a twin engine aircraft went down in a forested region. The crash occurred approximately one kilometer southeast of Obernburg am Main, situated roughly 45 kilometers from its intended destination.
At the time of the accident, the flight crew was performing maneuvers necessary for landing. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were three fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft, with no survivors reported at the scene.
