What happened

A twin-engine aircraft was performing a scheduled round trip, traveling between Dar es-Salaam, Ifakara, and Mikumi. During the final stages of the flight, while the aircraft was descending through 4,000 feet toward Dar es Salaam, the right engine experienced a failure. While the impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft, all eight occupants—consisting of one pilot and seven passengers—were successfully rescued from the wreckage. Among the survivors, two passengers sustained injuries during the incident.
