What happened
A ferry flight originating from Dunkirk-Chautauqua County Airport in New York was en route to Fort-Lauderdale-Executive Airport when the crew encountered difficulties. While maintaining an altitude of 10,000 feet, the two-person crew identified malfunctions within the aircraft's electrical system. In response to these technical complications, the decision was made to divert the flight to Jamestown-Chautauqua County Airport.
During the final approach to runway 25, the aircraft was traveling at 157 knots with a descent rate of 1,000 feet per minute. The aircraft struck the ground at the runway threshold, causing it to lose control. Following the impact, the plane veered toward the left side of the runway into a grassy area, where it subsequently caught fire. The intensity of the flames resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. Both members of the crew were extracted from the wreckage and sustained various injuries.
