What happened

During an approach toward Amman-Marka Airport, the flight crew encountered significantly degraded visibility caused by low cloud cover. In an effort to regain visual contact with the terrain, the captain initiated a descent to a lower altitude. During this maneuver, the aircraft collided with trees in a forested region situated approximately 19 km from the airport, near Dabouq.

The accident resulted in the deaths of four crew members and six passengers. Additionally, five passengers sustained serious injuries during the impact.
