A light aircraft crashed during its initial climb from Schwarzsee, resulting in three fatalities and one serious injury.

What happened

Following mechanical issues with the engine, the pilot, along with two passengers, had been forced to remain overnight at Schwarzsee (Lac-Noir). The following day, the crew and passengers intended to fly toward Thun Aerodrome, situated approximately 26 km to the northeast.

During the departure from the area, the aircraft entered a stall shortly after takeoff while performing its initial climb. This resulted in the plane impacting a field located roughly 500 metres northeast of the lake in a near vertical orientation. The accident resulted in two fatalities and one person suffering serious injuries. Although the sole survivor initially survived the impact, they succumbed to their injuries several hours later, bringing the total death toll to three.
