At roughly 17:30, an individual at the destination outfitter observed the aircraft traveling on an easterly path, positioned south of the lake. When the plane failed to arrive at the docking area as expected, the outfitter's manager dispatched a vessel to search for the aircraft. The search party located C-GPUO approximately 1 nautical mile east of the outfitter's location.
