During a scheduled night training operation in the vicinity of Gunsan, an aircraft entered an aerodynamic stall shortly after departing from the airfield. While the plane was in its initial climb phase, it lost altitude and impacted the water approximately 6 km away from the shoreline.

Out of the two people on board, one crew member was successfully rescued from the wreckage. The second crew member sustained fatal injuries during the impact.
