What happened
During a local training mission operating out of Barrackpore Airport, an aircraft lost control while maneuvering in the surrounding airspace. The flight path deviated from its intended course, resulting in the plane impacting a small body of water situated approximately 1.2 km northeast of the threshold for runway 20.
Despite the impact with the lake, all three crew members were successfully pulled from the wreckage and rescued. While the occupants survived the event, the aircraft itself was destroyed during the crash.
Findings
No specific technical failures or environmental factors were detailed regarding why the plane became uncontrollable prior to the impact.
