What happened
During the landing phase at Fornebu Airport, an aircraft experienced a runway excursion following touchdown. As the plane decelerated on the runway, it drifted away from the established centerline. The movement resulted in the aircraft striking a nearby snowbank, which eventually brought the vehicle to a halt.
Findings
While the impact with the snowbank caused significant structural damage, there were no injuries reported among those on board. Due to the extent of the damage sustained during the excursion, the aircraft was declared a total loss and was beyond repair.
