What happened
During an approach to Windsor Locks-Bradley Airport following a flight originating from Davis-Monthan AFB, the aircraft struck trees before crashing within the Meshomaspec National Forest. The accident occurred in an area situated approximately 40 km southeast of the destination airport. Upon impact, the aircraft type caught fire.
At the time of the incident, the crew was performing a descent phase of flight. Environmental conditions were characterized by dense fog, which significantly reduced visibility for the crew. The impact resulted in two fatalities and one serious injury among the three people on board.
