What happened
During a flight, the crew encountered significant technical complications that necessitated an immediate change in plans. To ensure safety, the operators decided to divert to Osaka-Itami Airport for an unplanned arrival.
Upon approaching the airfield, the crew was forced to execute an emergency landing. The aircraft performed a belly landing on the runway, which resulted in the plane coming to a complete stop after sliding along the surface. Despite the severity of the impact, there were no fatalities or injuries reported among those on board.
While all occupants survived the incident, the aircraft sustained extensive damage. Following an assessment by maintenance teams, the airframe was declared a total loss as it was damaged beyond repair.
Findings
Investigations into the technical failure revealed that the emergency situation was triggered by fuel contamination within the aircraft's systems.
