What happened
A flight traveling from São Paulo toward Brasilia was conducting an intermediate stop at Brotas when the accident occurred. The aircraft, a twin engine airplane, was operated with three people on board: the pilot and two engineers.
During the approach phase into Brotas, the flight encountered adverse weather conditions. While navigating through these difficult environmental factors, the pilot lost control of the aircraft. The plane subsequently struck a hill, leading to a crash.
Findings
The impact resulted in two fatalities and one injury. The official investigation concluded that the primary factor in the accident was pilot error during the approach under poor weather conditions.
