What happened

A training mission originating from Surabaya-Juanda Airport resulted in an aircraft accident approximately 64 km northwest of Surabaya. While the aircraft was maintaining a cruising altitude of 9,000 feet, the crew performed a maneuver to simulate engine-out stalls. During this procedure, the aircraft experienced a significant loss of altitude, dropping to 1,5-00 feet.

In an effort to recover, the crew initiated an emergency descent toward the ground. During this phase, the aircraft collided with an electric pole before impacting a sandy area. The impact caused the total destruction of the aircraft. Both pilots sustained injuries during the event.
