What happened
A charter flight originating from Baku-Bina Airport was conducting a flight to Moscow with a total of six people on board, consisting of three passengers and three crew members. During the approach to runway 24C at Moscow-Sheremetyevo Airport, the aircraft type touched down approximately 250 metres beyond the runway threshold at a speed of 150 knots.
Immediately following the landing, the crew initiated standard braking procedures and deployed the thrust reversers. However, after traveling several hundred metres along the runway, the aircraft began to drift toward the left. The plane performed a near 180-degree turn and exited the runway pavement to the left side. Upon entering the soft terrain, the right main landing gear was separated from the airframe. The aircraft eventually stopped in a snow-covered area. All six occupants were able to evacuate the plane without injury, though the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
Findings
The aircraft's departure from the runway was caused by a deviation to the left during the landing roll, which led to the subsequent loss of the right main gear upon contact with the soft ground.
