What happened
On the afternoon of the accident, an aircraft departed from Toluca Airport at 15:16 local time, destined for Colima. The flight was carrying a total of seven people, including two pilots and five passengers who were members of the Colima government.
Approximately fifteen minutes after takeoff, while the aircraft was maintaining a cruising altitude of 16,000 feet, the crew contacted Air Traffic Control to report experiencing difficulties with the aircraft's controls. Shortly after this communication, the aircraft began an uncontrolled descent. The plane eventually crashed into a mountainous and heavily wooded area situated near El Devanador. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were seven fatalities and no survivors among the occupants.
