What happened
On November 30, 2019, at approximately 14:30 local time, a Valente Facil MS 1/3, registration LV-X675, was involved in an accident at Ezpeleta Aerodrome in the Province of Buenos Aires. The aircraft, which was performing a non-commercial recreational flight, had departed from Tolosa Aerodrome and had successfully completed its landing at the destination.
During the taxi phase following the landing, the aircraft's nose landing gear suffered a structural failure. The collapse occurred while the aircraft was moving on the ground under visual meteorological conditions (VMC).
The investigation
The investigation focused on the mechanical failure of the nose gear during ground operations. The aircraft was operated by a private entity for recreational purposes. The investigation confirmed that the incident took place at an elevation of 9 feet at the Ezpeleta airfield.
