What happened
On July 23, 2022, at 18:39 UTC, a Learjet 45, registration LV-BOU, was conducting a private executive flight from Bariloche International Airport to Mar del Plata International Airport. While en route, the flight crew declared a medical emergency due to a crew member becoming incapacitated. Consequently, the aircraft diverted to Presidente Perón International Airport in the province of Neuquert.
The aircraft landed safely at the Neuquén airport without further incident or damage to the airframe. There were two occupants on board, consisting of the crew and passengers, and no fatalities or injuries were reported following the emergency landing.
The investigation
The National Directorate for the Investigation of Aeronautical Occurrences (DNISAE) conducted an intervention regarding the event. The investigation focused on the circumstances surrounding the medical emergency that necessitated the diversion. The authorities reviewed the flight path and the operational details of the flight from Bariloche to Mar del Plata to confirm the sequence of events leading to the emergency declaration.
