What happened
On September 11, 2022, at approximately 19:45 UTC, a ground collision occurred at the Villa María Airport in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. The incident involved two light aircraft, a Cessna 172-B (registration LV-HBR) and a Cessna 172L (registration LV-IWD), both engaged in private general aviation operations.
During the taxi phase, the Cessna 172-B was maneuvering on the ground when its right wingtip struck the left wingtip of the Cessna 172L. At the time of the impact, the second aircraft was positioned on the airfield, waiting for takeoff clearance.
The investigation
