What happened

In the early morning hours, an aircraft departed from Monterrey-General Mariano Escobido Airport at 03:15 local time, bound for Toluca. The flight was carrying a total of seven people, consisting of two pilots and five passengers. Shortly after takeoff, while the aircraft was maintaining a cruising altitude of 28,700 feet along radial 163, the plane experienced a loss of control.

The aircraft subsequently entered a dive and impacted the terrain in a mountainous area situated near Iturbide. The crash site was located within the southern portion of the Parque Natural Sierra de Arteaga, approximately 100 km south of Monterrey. Upon investigation, wreckage was discovered spread across a debris field measuring roughly 300 metres. There were seven fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft.
