What happened
A cargo flight traveling from Walgak to Juba encountered increasingly severe weather while in transit. The crew of the twin engine airplane determined that an emergency landing was necessary to avoid the worsening conditions. During the attempt to land, the aircraft struck vegetation in a wooded area located approximately 12 km south of Bor Airport.
The impact caused significant structural damage to the airframe, resulting in the right wing being partially detached and the cockpit area sustaining heavy damage. There were four people on board at the time of the accident, consisting of two crew members and two passengers. All four occupants sustained injuries during the crash landing and were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Findings
The decision to perform an emergency landing was driven by deteriorating weather conditions encountered during the flight route.
