What happened
A cargo flight operating from Juba Airport to Leer ended in a fatal accident during its approach to the destination. The aircraft, a twin engine airplane, was transporting humanitarian food supplies on behalf of Samaritan’s Purse to assist populations impacted by flooding in Southern Unity State. During the final stages of the flight, the aircraft went down roughly 20 km north of the Leer Airfield. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and the deaths of all three crew members.
