What happened
A twin-engine aircraft was performing a multi-leg journey from Sal, Cape Verde, with an intended destination of a mining area situated near Lero, Kankan. The flight included a scheduled stop in Conakry during its transit. On board the aircraft were two pilots and two technicians.
While navigating the route, the flight crew encountered adverse meteorological conditions characterized by heavy fog and low-altitude cloud cover. During this period of poor visibility, the twin-engine airplane struck the side of a mountain. The force of the collision caused the aircraft to break apart upon impact. There were four fatalities recorded, as all occupants perished in the crash.
