What happened

Shortly after departing from runway 06 at Moscow-Myashkovo Airport, a Li-2 experienced a failure of its left engine during the climb phase. This loss of power caused the aircraft to lose altitude, leading it to strike the roof of a residential building. The impact occurred in the Zaozerye district, situated approximately 2.5 km from the airfield, roughly three minutes after the flight had departed.

Out of the five people on board, three fatalities were initially recorded at the scene, with two individuals sustaining serious injuries. However, following the accident, one of the injured survivors succumbed to their wounds, leaving only one person to survive the crash.
