What happened
During a flight toward Columbia County Airport in New York, a twin-engine airplane entered an uncontrolled descent. The aircraft was in the process of descending following the completion of a final right-hand turn when the loss of control occurred. The plane subsequently impacted an open field situated in the town of Copake.
All six fatalities were recorded as a result of the impact. There were no survivors among the occupants of the aircraft.
