What happened
During an aerial survey operation for the Rio Acaraú project, a twin engine airplane lost control and impacted a forested region. The aircraft was performing local photogrammetry tasks at the time of the accident. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe.
There were four individuals on board the aircraft during the mission: two crew members and two engineers. The incident resulted in four fatalities, leaving no survivors among the occupants.
Findings
Investigations into the crash indicate that the primary factor leading to the accident was an aileron failure while the aircraft was in flight, which caused the loss of control.
