The crew was completing a local night training exercice at Langebaanweg AFB. While completing various manoeuvres, the airplane went out of control and crashed in an open field located near airbase, coming to rest upside down. The aircraft was destroyed and both pilots were injured.
- July 19, 1938Accident
The airplane was shot down by a Japanese fighter. All three crew members were able to bail out but two of them fell into a lake and died. The third occupant survived. Crew: Weilian Gao, pilot, Zhengshi Kuang, air gunner +1. Probable cause (official findings): Shot down by a Japanese fighter.
