On final approach to North Bay Airport by night, the twin engine airplane struck trees and crashed in a wooded area located 1,6 km short of runway. The pilot, sole on board, was killed.

The aircraft was on a vor approach to runway 26 at north bay airport when it struck the top of trees and crashed just over a mile short of the threshold. By the time the rescue crews arrived the co-pilot had died. The captain was removed from the wreckage with serious injuries. The weather had been 600 ft overcast…
