After takeoff from Lac-Caché, while climbing to a height of 500 feet, the engine caught fire. The pilot reduced his altitude and attempted to land on the icy lake. All four occupants escaped uninjured while the aircraft was destroyed by fire. Probable cause (official findings): Engine fire during initial climb for unknown reasons.

Le pilote venait de decoller pour son troisieme vol de la journee. A 500 pi/sol, il a senti une forte odeur de fumee entrant dans la cabine. Il a fait demi-tour et s'est mis en descente rapide pour se poser le plus rapidement possible. Lorsque le moteur a ete arrete au sol un incendie s'est declare qui a detruit…
