The crew departed Coquimbo on a positioning flight to Viña del Mar to pick up passengers who need to fly to a mining area located in Los Perlambres. As the ILS system was inoperative, the crew was forced to complete a non-precision approach to runway 05. The visibility was poor due to foggy conditions.
