Almost immediately after takeoff from Sogamoso-Alberto Lleras Camargo Airport, while in initial climb in limited visibility, the left engine failed. The crew initiate a circuit to return to the airport for an emergency landing when the airplane stalled and crashed in a wasteland located 8 km from the airport.
