    On March 29, 2026, at 16.15 hrs, the experimental ultralight aircraft Rans S-10 Sakota was taking-off for a private flight from runway 27 at Kaunas S. Darius and S. Girėnas aerodrome. During take-off the aircraft’s tailwheel broke off. The pilot did not notice that the tailwheel had detached and was unaware of this during the flight.   • April 4, 2024Accident

    On 4 April 2024, the ultralight aircraft Rans S-10 Sakota, registration LY-BOD, after take-off in Kaunas S. Darius ir S. Girėnas aerodrome started banking and turning to the right. When the bank reached 90° the aircraft hit the ground first with the right wingtip then with the nose and came to a stop in the opposite direction of departure. The pilot was not injured. After accident it was found that elevators Bowden cables were connected incorrectly.
