The airplane departed Decimomannu AFB, Sardinia, on an operation to Gibraltar. Upon takeoff, one of the engine failed. The airplane stalled and crashed by the runway. It was damaged beyond repair and all seven crew members were injured. Probable cause (official findings): Engine failure on takeoff.
