THE STUDENT PILOT WAS ON THE RETURN LEG OF A ROUND ROBIN CROSS COUNTRY WHEN THE ENCOUNTERED CLOUDS AND DIVERTED TO CUSHING, OK. LATER, WHEN HE DEPARTED FROM CUSHING, HE FORGOT TO RESET HIS DIRECTIONAL GYRO TO CORRESPOND WITH THE MAGNETIC COMPASS.
