THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT AND HIS DUAL STUDENT FLEW INTO A CANYON AREA. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ALLOWED TO FLY TOO CLOSE TO RISING TERRAIN WHICH THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNABLE TO OUTCLIMB. DURING A TURN TO REVERSE DIRECTION THE AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH TERRAIN.
