THE PLT STATED THE PURPOSE OF THE FLT WAS TO DROP PARACHUTE JUMPERS. THE JUMPERS DEPLANED AT 8500 FT MSL AND THE PLT REDUCED PWR FOR A DESCENT AND LANDING AT THE ARPT OF DEPARTURE.
