WHILE PRACTICING A SIMULATED ENGINE FAILURE THE STUDENT PLT INAVERTANTLY SHUT OFF THE FUEL. DURING THE ACTUAL FORCED LANDING IN A ROUGH FIELD, THE ACFT CONTACTED A YUCCA PLANT AND A GEAR COLLAPSE RESULTED.
