On November 29, 1949, American Airlines Flight 157, a DC-6 (N90728), crashed and burned during a scheduled landing at Love Field in Dallas, Texas. Of the 46 occupants, 28 were killed. The captain survived with slight injuries; the first officer and flight engineer were seriously injured.
