The single engine airplane apparently departed Itápolis in the morning and made stops in Forquilhinha and Santa Catarina before landing in Capão de Canoa to pick two passengers who need to be flown to Campo de Marte, São Paulo. After takeoff from runway 08 at Capão de Canoa Airfield, the airplane encountered difficulties to gain height, descended to the ground and crashed onto a restaurant, bursting into flames.
