The pilot, sole on board, departed Morozov at 0708LT to perform a crop spraying flight on behalf of the Rodnik Farm. About two minutes later, while cruising at low height, the undercarriage collided with a 3-meter high embankment. The airplane flipped over and crashed inverted in a drainage ditch. The wreckage was found about 4 km south of the village.

The accident was due to a collision of the main landing gear wheels with the embankment of an irrigation canal, which led to the destruction of the landing gear structure, the subsequent collision of the aircraft with the water surface of the canal, and a nose-over. Full accident record
