The pilot, sole on board, was performing a crop spraying flight when the engine lost power. He elected to make an emergency landing in a field 2 kilometers from Sofyevka, in the Stavropol krai. Upon touchdown, the aircraft rolled over and came to rest upside down, bursting into flames.
