Following a skydiving mission, the crew was returning to his base at Bol’shoye Gryzlovo Aerodrome. For unknown reasons, the aircraft landed hard, lost its nose gear and came to rest. Both pilots were seriously injured and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.
